What's Wrong with the GOP?

It wouldn't matter if the GOP was to frame all of these issues in terms that a 5th grader could understand, because (1) If the 2012 election results are any indication, the majority of Americans aren't as smart as 5th graders and (2) Even if they could get the message out, the mainstream media would distort or ignore it. In any case, there are too many clueless RINOs running the GOP

Its difficult to convince people of your message when you don't believe in it. Democrats believe in taking your money. If the republicans in congress believed in the individual keeping his money, they would be much more successful. The problem is that over the past 40 years that i've given a damn about our country, spending has never dropped.

Conservatives stick by your convictions. If your convictions cost your re-election so be it. CAREER POLITICIANS are the reason for the fix we find ourselves in anyway. If the next election is that important to you. You are in the wrong job. If you can't stand by your convictions good riddance, America doesn't want you or need you. We need TERM LIMITS to rid us of people like you.

We need intelligent patriotic voters to run these people out, these pols will NEVER agree to term limits on themselves..the framers never thought we'd be so stupid as to give the vote to people with no skin in the game, that actually WARNED us not to do it. " I think myself that we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious." " I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."
"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."

Here is the biggest problem with the news coverage of the Fiscal Cliff. The only message coming through was President Obama's message: that he was trying to save the middle class from a tax increase by raising taxes on the rich. On the Republican side, the message was…well…it was a muddled mess.

Republicans seem to have great difficulty reminding people that the George W. Bush tax cuts are the reason middle income families have not been paying about $2,000 more in taxes every year. The agreement President Obama just made with Congress saves about 80% of those tax cuts. It saves...
