Take a look at pre-Fed price levels-- prices did not rise (in fact, fell somewhat) in over a century. After the founding of the Fed in 1913, price levels have risen by about 3300%.

Any of the GOP candidates will attempt to overturn ObamaCare and none of them is more likely to be successftl than any other. The diffference is that the non-Paul candidates are all owned by corporate interests, including the insurance/healthcare interests. They will, no doubt, replace ObamaCare with something even worse. Paul is the ONLY GOP candidate who will even attempt to overturn Dodd-Frank, Bush's Sarbanes-Oxley, or Nixon's EPA.

If Romney really want to win the election, he will promise to appoint Paul Secretary of State and actually adopt Paul's foreign policy. The country is sick and tired of the warmongers, including O-Bomb-A. The warmongers are bankrupting the country.

There is nothing inconsistent or anti-Israel about wishing for the USA to be Israel's friend and severely criticizing that friend. Lets face it: living conditions in the Gaza Strip are horrible. Israel's actions of blocking relief ships from bringing aid to Gaza were ill-considered. As usual, Ron Paul called a spade a spade.

Nixon: escalated the Southeast Asian war; repealed none of the Great Society programs; ended the last remains of the gold standard (no coincidence that double-digit inflation set in a few years later); attempted wage and price controls; gave us the EPA; gave us ERISA and the HMO act (two of the unrecognized underlying causes of the health care crises); gave us OSHA. He was one of the worst presidents ever, even disregarding Watergate! Can Romney be another Nixon? Maybe. He certainly has many of the right talents: Smooth-talking but seldom really saying anything of substance; switching positons to suit the audience. Is there a hint of scandal in him? Probably. Gee, I think Basile may be right, but can the country survive Nixon II?
