Government receives income from tax revenue and then chooses how to spend it. Once the government has it, that money is no longer yours. In order to function, persons are employed or contracted by government to perform those functions, and are paid from the budget. These employees left the private sector to fill these positions. The money they are paid is income, from which the employee/contractor must pay taxes.

According to a new Gallup poll, the vast majority of Democrats believe the government doesn't do enough. 



This viewpoint is out of touch with the majority of Americans, who believe government is too big, has too much power and overreaches too often.
