Mr. Bialowsky and his fellow travellers seem to know everything. How does he propose gaining minority voters while jettisoning social conservatives?. I am sure that they will be ready to join with the economic conservatives to cut their benefits. Perhaps his next brilliant idea will be to nominate Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden as the Republican ticket for 2016. The fact plain and simple is that Romney was a flawed candidate and his advisos were unable to devise a strategy to persuade anyone to support him beyond the McCain voters of 2008.

Republicans cannot get minority voters and appeal to their southern conservative base which likes to feel they are somehow victims of some minority group or another. "They" are all out to take "Your" freedom, money, etc. The reason the Republican party is losing is because the fiscally conservative Republicans have their hands tied trying to appeal to the extremist in their party. The ONLY time Romney was even with Obama in the polls was when he presented himself as a moderate.

No offense, but people are losing their freedoms at an astounding pace. It's not just an Obama thing, it was the same under Bush, but Obama certainly hasn't been a champion of individual liberty. 20 years ago it would have been considered outrageous that rent a cop goons would be sticking their hands down your pants at the airport. Or that federal agents would be cracking down on Amish communities under the guise of "food safety" all the while doing nothing about Monsanto. It should be out of the question for the US government to provide arms to Al Qaeda, but they do it in Syria. This isn't just a feeling that I have, it's what's actually been happening.

Ok, I was wrong. I thought the Republicans would win the Presidency. I was not the only one. Smart people like Michael Barone and Karl Rove thought so also, in addition to people like Dick Morris. A knowledgeable friend called me the Saturday before the election and told me John McLaughlin, the pollster, just told him Romney wins it going away. So what happened?

First there is the big picture. I think there were three issues that hurt the Romney campaign along the way. The first is his turn to the right to win the primaries. My now politically-astute son asserted...
