Romney's Loss -- It's Not the Asphalt

The Republicans had the perfect candidate for the Democrats. The father of Obamacare could not run against his own child. The wealthy financier with a horse riding hobby could not run against the bailouts and Obama's royally extravagant excesses (million dollar vacations, 100 rounds of golf, etc.). The perfect candidate to use for a classwarfare campaign. The flip flopper on abortion, homosexual marriage, etc. could not persuade the out of a job Reagan democrats that he would do anything to address the cultural decline around them, particularly after how quick he was to attack and abandon Akin. Add to this his advisors and campaign team who even now think that they would have won by pandering to immigrants or minorities (cf ColinPowe ll).
