Why the Liberal Hatred of Citizens With Guns

You haven’t been paying much attention lately, have you. The very fact that you ask such questions, would seem to indicate that you are missing the concept entirely. “No one should be allowed to purchase a soft drink larger than 16 oz! Make it so!” “10 rounds is WAY TOO MANY for a law abiding citizen to have have! I decree the NEW safe limit as 7 bullets! Make it so!” “Styrofoam is evil! We must eliminate it! Make it so!” This type of “governing” (gasp, choke, vomit) perfectly exemplifies "that liberals have an 'obsession with controlling the lives and actions of those considered to be their inferiors?’” That you miss this concept entirely, is very disconcerting. I thought the description of Liberals matched observed reality to a T.

I don't feel the need to own a firearm, because I live in a city with a highly effective police force. Do we trust them to make no mistakes? No. But they do their job so I feel safe walking the streets at night. Acquiring a weapon here is hard enough that MOST criminals won't carry one.

Does this apply everywhere? Of course not. I personally think that these sorts of decisions should be made at the state level, because things are different wherever you go.

I simply take offense to being turned into an evil, anti-american straw man.

You’re snug in your cabin in the mountains outside of Big Bear, California. Snug, but fearful. They’re searching for a killer near you. A terrifying, heavily armed former cop from Los Angeles who has gone on a killing rampage.

Suddenly you hear gunshots. You part the curtains to look outside ... and there’s the man whose picture you’ve seen countless times on TV over the past few days running toward your house as he returns fire to police officers in pursuit.

Just a few weeks ago you had been considering buying an AR-15 just in case it might be needed to...
