Under our system, "if you can't afford an attorney one will be appointed for you" Why do the most heinous villains get a team of attorneys? We should only have to pay for ONE. Any others should work on their own dime, and if they're willing to do that then we shouldn't pay the first one.
Right on sister! An impeachment process would bring all this out. Why doesn't the GOP start the process? What is stinking in the GOP leadership?
Why won't they start the impeachment process? The government isn't getting anything productive done anyway.

Immigration Gambles

As usual, Dr Sowell is right on target. I wish our leaders would pay attention.
The problem is always "comprehensive". If they would fix legal immigration with one bill, keeping it simple as possible. Then set up a guest worker bill with another, and a third that leads to a green card, with no voting or federal benefits for at least 10 years, you might get a system that is both fair and workable.

I've never understood why we so easily dismiss the rights of felons. there are millions of non-violent felons in this country. Why are they not allowed to protect themselves from the evil which is rampant in our modern society? Our government has made many citizens into felons by stetching laws to cover so many things. My guess is that there are many decent people who have been screwed by the system, and many more who violated in their youth and have changed.

The 1st thing to be done is to fix legal immigration. It should be simpler. a background check, a skill that's needed and immediate family only. The rest should be temporary worker visas, used when workers are needed in low skill, low wage situations. Income tax withheld and no refunds available. Otherwise don't come here, we can't afford you. Close the borders and close id checks for all employees. Enforce overstayed visa control, and put them at the back of the line.

Liberals Ready to Fire Eric Holder

Can Eric Holder be impeached? I don't see any reason to expect the president to do anything against a political ally.
Jeb Bush will get my support if he fully embraces Reaganism and supports Paul Ryan and Marco Rubio. He doesn't have to disavow his dad, just say he's grown to appreciate the Reagan positions that began to make this country strong again.

Absolutely! Right on! I hope this article gets some decent attention. The Bushes were the enemy of Reagan from the eighties. It was Bush 41 that screwed up the Reagan 80's and gave us Bill Clinton. It was Bush 43 who overspent us into O'Bummer. I'm sure they're well intentioned, I voted for them both, but they are not the best choice. We need to get tougher on the GOP establishment instead of fielding losers.
If the only way we can get cuts is sequester that's OK w/ me, but it is misleading to keep saying it's only a 2.4% cut in the projected spending for the year. It's about 10% out of defense and some discretionary domestic spending. Entitlements must be addressed in addition, and should be part of the CR, the debt ceiling and every other discussion this year. If the Senate won't act, impeachment of Harry and any other Senator you can charge is the answer.
