Another viewpoint: This may work to America's ultimate benefit. If we renounce our debt, we will lose our international standing and, once again, become a second (third?) world country. There will be much suffering with many vulnerable folks expiring from starvation, disease and crime as happened in the "old West". But the country could rebuild itself in perhaps a century. Then we would have a government bound once again to our constitution and progressives will be less welcome than Adolf Hitler. Citizens will once again be patriots who appreciate the values of their heritage.
Illinois and Maryland compete for the most governors jailed for corruption. Don't be surprised when this guy is indicted - his closet is quite full of skeletons.

This is well stated. In the 70's I began to recognize the dangers of the large amounts of Global Warming chemicals being7 emitted by man and volcanoes. During this period, many were fear mongering global cooling and advocating extreme government programs to artificially warm the climate, such as spreading coal dust and ash across the polar caps. My problem is with these greed opportunists (Al Gore) who flipped sides of the "science" and now seek to enrich themselves at the expense of the public. They distort the evidence to pursue personal wealth and fog the truth. There are real issues of good stewardship of the planet to be admired and enacted. But we must guard against the flim-flam progressives.
Fox owes Barack a BIG thank you. Our petty president is pointing to the only RELIABLE sources of truth in the media for all of those citizens who are finally waking up to the harm HE has caused. The ratings for the only sources of truth will skyrocket thanks to Obama, Schumer and Cuomo.
POTUS is establishing "promised zones". These are areas of the country (urban) that will receive tax reductions and additional Federal funds for many social functions. The rest of the country will be labeled as non-promised zones. The residents will be required to pay higher taxes and receive reduced Federal funds. This is depicted in the Hunger Games series when part of the population lives in supreme luxury thanks to the enslavement of the remaining population. Food for thought!
There are articles in the WaPost about a third generation welfare DC family that is struggling to survive on their lower welfare checks. The six children single mother family lives on food stamps, food donation lines, soup kitchens and public housing. They moan about the hours the stand in lines (while smoking $6 packs of cigarettes) and how difficult and stressful life is. The mother's solution is to enroll each child in adult food stamp program, tripling their checks. I do feel very sorry for her, but have to ask why she had six kids, why she smokes and why she is not proactive to get her kids out of poverty? Answer: it is now easier for low education/low income people to stay on the dole. The public education system is so bad that her progeny will be trapped into the same future
This is not about politics. It's about greed. This is the first time in America when some people have the opportunity to take wealth from others and they are disappointed that the redistribution (theft) is not happening fast enough. Thus the disappointment with "The One".
Does she mean that when 1 out of 5 Americans die from losing their doctors and medical care that is a success? That 66 million potential deaths folks!
Remember, all Americans named "Period" will be permitted by the law to keep their doctors and insurance. The pres did not lie!
It was a direct copy of WH release August, 2009. They took it down but must have opened the private site that you list. What a "change for hope" when we work back to totalitarian governance! At least Attila the Hun was competent.
"There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov." remember the "report your neighbor" scandal?
