Nikki Haley Won't Replace Jim DeMint With a "Placeholder" Appointee

You may think DeMint "irreplacable", but even he knew he was "irrelevant", which is why he got out. Given his consistent track record and gumming up the works and delaying things needlessly, his resignation was his first move as a Senator that made even hisGOP colleagues happy.

Hmmmm, let's see....DeMint WON his last election as I recall. And he made it clear from the very beginning of his election that he doesn't believe in politics as a career. If more Dems AND Repubs felt that way, we'd probably have less corruption.

It was DeMint's Republican colleagues who complained about how he obstructed everything they were trying to do, not some fantasy of Democrats "crapping on the Constitution" It's clearer every day why you guys lost the last two elections, and are on track to keep on losing.

Here's the lesson from "Bull Durham"--If you're lollygagging, you're a lollygagger. Hence, if you're losing, you're a loser.

If gumming up the works means letting D's cr@p on the constitution he will be missed even more.
Harry ah@#@# Reid has gummed up to you and prevented more than Demint ever could.

Many conservatives believe Rep. Tim Scott would be a good choice but some have discussed the possibility of Haley appointing a "placeholder" candidate to serve until the 2014 election. Haley has released a statement today about the matter.
