An Open Letter to Post-Abortive Women

If an aborted child wouldn't make it into your God's heaven, what on earth would possess you to "worship" such a twisted God?

what is the intelligence level of a finite being who refuses to bow down and worship the infinite and all-powerful being who created them?

Well, in your congregation you can say I'm my own god, and in all the other congregations we'll know the truth of it. Just don't ask us to include that in the notes read over the PA before class.

Not a silly mistake - not even a mistake, as you just admitted that you make your god in your own image.

Where you go wrong is criticizing God for not being what you want him to be. furthermore, you misrepresent the Christian view of God (as do many Christians). You have assumed that all aborted babies *should* go to heaven, whatever concept you have of it, and that is not a Christian belief. That is why I say that you are your own god.

Rich--wrong again. Just because I don't agree with you, you don't get to make the silly mistake where you claim I think I'm my own god.

You really don't think that every religion, every Christian denomination, and even every individual congregation worships the God of their own imagining, their own conception? We all make--or remake--God to be what we choose to imagine him to be.

Br: "Your Christian God is nothing like mine"

Agreed - you are you own god.

Br: "I get to decide who I'm supposed to "worship", don't I?"

No, you can choose whom you will worship, but can't choose to remake that god to your liking.

So, your God is all powerful and omniscent, but He expects me to bow down and worship him? That's just nuts...and yes, I do have a choice. Your Christian God is nothing like mine---or most people's.

Actually, Brucie, God actually does permit you your choice of whom to worship; you have the 'right' to defy the Commandment 'Thou Shalt Have No Other God Before Me'. That you have a 'choice' in no way negates the Truth of Who He is, and what He expects of us. And will in no way lessen the penalty you will pay for refusing Him.

You keep trying, though.

I get to decide who I'm supposed to "worship", don't I? There is a choice, right?

What gives you the right to make decisions for God?

I write these words chiefly to women and girls who have had an abortion. Still, it is my humble hope and honest prayer that anyone weighing this life-versus-death choice might also read them with an open mind and a hearing heart.

I share these truths in love. Some of you already know them. Others deny them.

Yet truths they remain.

It is through obedience to Christ and in the authority of His Spirit that I write you this letter. It may be difficult to read, but I pray you will read it.

First, let us dispense with the oft-asserted notion that,...
