If you think someone like Geithner really knows what he's doing then think about how he "screwed up" his taxes on Turbotax when he forgot to include his income earned abroad. if you actually followed what happened with the housing bust, it all started with congress (aka Barney Frank and his ilk) insisting that everyone should have the American Dream but lowering the mortgage standards. "No money down", "interest only payments", "bad credit ok", "no job ok" etc etc. Millions of people who shouldn't have even seen the inside of a bank, let alone actually apply for a mortgage, were getting loans all over the place. Mortgage brokers then had their appraisers appraise properties for more than they were worth to make the loans look good which then forced prices up for everyone. Barney Frank is an idiot and anything he proposes is stupid and so are the people that continue to elect him to represent them. ...
