Actually, all hype aside, he is, in all likelihood, the worst president in US history. He is in WAY over his head, and doesn't even understand the rudimentary role of the presidency. In these incredibly hard times, he inauguration speech address exactly zero of the serious challenges facing us. We need a leader. Leading from behind is "following" by another name.

Actually, the only hype in this regard comes from conservatives. Obama has been pretty successful given the weird, self defeating obstructionism of the Republicans.

Last year, when a Republican candidate should have waltzed to victory, Mitt Romney got his teeth knocked in by a man who could fairly be called the single least competent American President in history. This beating had very real consequences.
