I have to agree with Mr. Wonder and wonder myself what relationship Frank really had with Cisco. It doesn't help his situation or faith position if his response was one of hurt feelings and not being totally clear on the circumstances to allow for all the facts to be examined.

Thanks Jon. Yes, the Westboro Church is my example of an extreme following and hateful miss-interpretation of addressing sin. Let me clarify my position further for Tom. I have no hatred specifically for LGBT people and their beliefs, nor do I or anyone else profess to speak for God in any of these posts. There is room for error or miss-interpretation of biblical verses by me and anyone who may quote them. But that's why the new testament of the bible clearly states we must seek out the community of other fellow believers in our walk with Christ and the Christian faith and as a check and balance. It’s disappointing that the biblical view I and others take towards same gender sex and marriage is an emotional response immediately...

Bruce, I totally agree with you on disseminating false information about LGBT people and not emulating the love of Jesus Christ. However, I didn't see the evidence of "proselytizing" in the work place you were addressing in Frank's article. Also, it sounds pretty convenient only to witness within your church body (-I can only assume they must need saving?) and your friends. You'd have to admit that that's a pretty comfortable and safe environment...but what would happen to the commission Christ has give us (as is stated in Matthew 28:18-20) if we're only to witness within our own safe zones and to those who already believe in Him? After all, Christ and the Apostles never warned us about the sacrifice we would have to pay for...

Hey Tom, it’s amazing only you can be standing on the soap box of truth and your perception of social norms and justice are more rational than others. There not only has to be room for a difference of opinion but a free and open society works numerous ways under our constitution to the benefit of all . Even though that opinion may be perceived to hurt and harm more as the recent Supreme Court decision concerning the freedom of speech by a miss-led group of Christians from Kansas. I'll bet none of those followers were fired due to their beliefs, were they?
