The Lessons of Tiger Woods

I raised my children to know the difference between a true hero and the thugs who pass for sports "heros" today. Sports figures may be a role model for some, but for me they are generally uninspiring, overpaid, under-mature, over-indulged figures. I cannot remember the last time I watched a pro-sports game (any sport) from start to finish. Who the heck cares about professional athletes? Do you kids a favor, teach them to ignore pro athletes.

Has the carefully groomed image of the contented family man who "has it all" gone supernova? Absolutely. Will he lose his wife, given her public humiliation and her shattered trust in her husband? Strong possibility.

But the history books are full of Act Twos.
