Universal Daily Prayer: Oh, great and loving, merciful and forgiving Infinite Spirit, Creator of all things visible and invisible in the Heavens and on the Earth, heed our prayer. We bow before you in contrition and fearful need, as children disobedient to Your Immutable Laws. We have been brought to shame by arrogance and pride, blindly indifferent to the consequences of squandering Your Generous Beneficence. We have been willful in our freedom, foolish in our ways, remiss in our complacency toward countless warnings of impending disaster. Now, desperate, we call upon you, we beg you to enter the hearts and minds of those who would do harm to the rest. Teach them to build up and not to tear down, to love all and to despise none, and...

Thank you Bruce! I agree 100 per cent. I read the book at age 27 when it first appeared, and was inspired by every word. I recently noticed a crude sign posted on a tree locally that reads, "Who Is John Galt?" We are not alone. Brian Brooks, www.earthgames.net.

Sarah is NOT a wealthy woman. The bucks she's earning with her book and speeches she has to put toward the debt she accumulated defending against political attacks following the election bid. I don't want her to expose herself to that again and would rather that she remain a leader and an inspiration for the rest of us. I especially don't want her to be connected to the Republican party or that person she supported when vice-presidential candidate. Brian Brooks, www.earthgames.net
At last! Someone else who has read Rose Wilder Lane's "Discovery of Freedom". Don't forget her "Give Me Liberty"! Brian Brooks
I lived in Virginia and visited the Richmond area to visit friends whose dog was constantly afflicted by deer ticks. The joy of living in the great outdoors is all too often marred by bloodsuckers, thorny vines and falling branches. Keep away from poison ivy, sumac and oak. Our cabin in Maine suffered attacks from squirrels and mice regularly. Then, of course there are venom carrying creatures such as snakes and spiders. Don't get me wrong. I love the outdoors, but living there isn't the idyllic scene Ross so effusively describes. Brian Brooks www.earthgames.net
