Interesting read! When Russians call Obama communists, they must know a thing-or-two about it. So now can I make "In Soviet America" jokes?
Actually, "Pravda" is Russian for "truth" or "right". (Same word in Polish)
It'll be hard pressed for any intelligence agencies to hire free-wheeling 18 year old script kiddies. The problem is that they're supplying for a demand in a way that will not fit their business model. You're essentially creating profit motives for them in a way that exposes them to certain national secrets. Not exactly smart since these are the same kids who can break into an internal bank network.

Don't Blame Romney

Sorry but this just meer pandering. Romney was completely unqualified to go against Obama. Gary Johnson or Ron Paul would have fared way better than Romney. The GOP nomination went to a GW Bush neo-con. Johnson could have swayed Democrats (and he did) to vote 3rd party but ppl like you Ms. Coulter destroyed conservatism with your platry views.

Bringing Selfish Back

It took a while for me to really agree with Rand. We have to first acquire happiness/satisfaction before we can freely give back to those in need. The Bible is a little less specific about giving in the sense that there's no criteria for giving, so as long as finding pleasure in the pursuit of the almighty God doesn't come 2nd place. Like Mother Teresa who found happiness/pleasure in pursuing God first and pursuing God in poverty, it might seem contrary to Rand's idea but it's not. Mother Teresa found happiness in trusting in God alone, which meant that when her truest satisfactions were met was she able to give back happily and selfishly.

Theologians exercise philosophy in their studies. Simply put, philosophy is just the love of wisdom (phileo-sophia). Aquinas made not just theological exegesis he also made philosophical commentaries as well (on subjects such as ethics, mostly). Aquinas prescribed a world view (phiiosophically) that stemmed from his love and study of theology.

Poland's Strategy

Possibly the clearest and most concise article about Poland that I've read in a long time. As an American who has spent quite a lot of time in Poland, I understand the Russian threat more than the German threat. I believe that after WW2, Germany is afraid to consent to becoming a power for anything. However, Russia - especially after the invasion of Georgia in 2008 - has become more and more of a threat. What most people don't realize is that Russia was exercising invasion war games outside of Kaliningrad in 2008, preparing for a Polish invasion of Warsaw. I'm glad that the Balcerowicz plan worked well for Poland and that sovereignty will remain in Polish hands for perpetuitity.

Amazon is Obama's Mistress

Brian378 Wrote: Apr 23, 2012 9:34 PM
I'm not surprised at all that Obama is suing Apple. First off, Bezos is a Democrat who has given to Democrats. Second, Jobs was very much outspoken of his criticism of Obama. Third Amazon's model worked against publishers and, honestly, Apple was more lucrative. Sadly - while I am for lower prices - Amazon's take on pricing was similar to Walmart where they screw over the little guys for a quick buck, that's monopoly. The fact is, katie's assesment is right on: Apple's agency model would save publishers and relinquish the market of Amazon's monopoly. What I don't understand is this: why is Obama involved? Doesn't he have a country to run and two wars to fight?
