GOP Should Show Patience As They Rebuild

I think Conservatives have reached a cross roads. If you all have any desire to rebuild the "Republican" party at all the article makes sense. The obvious question remains, do you all want to rebuild the "Republican" party?

The question of the article is whether or not we want a viable party called "Republican". Conservatives are really not capable of having their own at this point as they essentially have no organization, leadership, or coherent message when applied to actual problems. Political slogans only get you so far. What you guys are working yourself into is the long road to revolution. What you can't achieve within the system you will end up trying to do without. This is the sad but inevitable conclusion of what has...

The Republican Party became Humpty Dumpy in August 2006 and, by the 2008 election, all the king’s horses and men couldn’t put the cracked party together again.

The question now is whether it’s time for the GOP to try getting back up on the wall.

What if I told you that, while the party’s base is anxious for Republicans to begin crafting a positive message and start building support for 2010, to do so at this moment would be premature? Might even hinder its long-term efforts?
