Say what you want about Texans, but I lived in Arizona before moving to Texas and your odds of getting shot are significantly higher in Arizona than they are in Texas. Texas doesn't allow anyone to carry a weapon legally without a permit that costs over a hundred dollars to obtain. Arizona has not only open carry, they have opted for Constitutional carry. That means that no permit is required for concealed carry unless you want to have a permit. Where do you think you're more likely to find someone carrying a concealed weapon, a state that requires a permit or one that doesn't? The number of guns in evidence at the Phoenix Tea Party rallies was enough to keep even the most hard nosed SEIU group of thugs from starting trouble.

There was one beggar in Phoenix that was literally on that street corner when I drove by at 7 am and still there when I drove home after 5 pm.
