Conservatives have been trying to work productively on this for a very long time, but the Amnesty lobby has been counter productive, and counter-intuitive. Secure the Border Prosecute Employer violations De-criminalize current Border Violators Make them legal residents (but NOT Citizens, they are - technically Criminals, we don't let Felons Vote) Anything else is a Wicked and undeserved slap in the face of those who have worked through the system to become legal Citizens.

Piggybacking off of a bipartisan immigration reform plan presented by eight Senators yesterday, Obama called on Congress to quickly come up with legislation.

"We can't allow immigration reform to get bogged down in endless debate," Obama said. "For the first time in years, Republicans and Democrats seem ready to attack this problem together."
