The abortion my wife and I had when we were younger is the single greatest regret of my life. We often wonder if the natural miscarriages she later had weren't residual effects of that terrible decision. Last week we adopted a daughter from a young woman who decided her pregnancy shouldn't result in an abortion, but an adoption. I expect that young woman's church upbringing, though now rejected in her life, informed her decision to bear the child. She certainly didn't learn it in public school.
