NO, it hasn't. Who has even proposed to spend less next year? I think Rand Paul has talked about that but he isn't running for POTUS... yet; maybe 2016. Ron Pual talks about cutting spending to 1990 levels but I don't see any specifics and BTW, congress only gets proposals from the POTUS, he doesn't have the power alone to cut spending. Americans are too lazy and/or not involved enough to put people in congress that will actually make the changes... that is why we have career politicians

President Obama tanked in the last debate. Good.

Now maybe people will listen when Mitt Romney says things like, "The genius of America is the free enterprise system, and freedom, and the fact that people can go out there and start a business. ... The private market and individual responsibility always work best."

They do.

But then Romney responded to Obama by essentially saying: I want big government, too!
