I am no middle east expert, nor a diplomat. I REALLY don;t want to see Iran with nuclear weapons, and Iran's insane desire to destroy Israel is well known. I really do have questions though, whether they'd use them against Israel. Bear with me folks, and I'll pose my questions. 1. Border Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Jordan. It is well known than drifting fallout will hit one of these Muslim countries. Would they stand for it, even to rid the world of the hated Jew? 2. The holiest temple in their religion is in Jerusalem. Right on top of Solomon's temple. A low tech nuke would render the land uninhabitable for a few hundred years, and so many would not be able to make their pilgrimage to this temple, and thus incite the wrath

Nonsense;Hiroshima and Nagasaki were nuked, and people went back to living there in a short time. less than 50 years later, they had become large cities with a healthy populace.

and Iran's leaders have said they'd rather Jerusalem a wasteland than have Jews living there,or a State of Israel.

They would consider it acceptable collateral damage. An Iranian leader was once asked, which was more important, Iran or Islam. The leader responded that Islam was more important, because Iran was "just a place." just like Hitler, they make their priorities clear.

if you ask a Christian what more important Jesus or the US, what would be the response?

Both excellant points Brad. The thing is, nobody knows the answer and IMO to take the chance of these fanatics acting responsibly given their rhetoric and direct threats is simply unacceptable. Insane people do insane things, especiall religious fanatics...they believe bringing on Armeggedon will cause the rise of the 12th imam, a mythical critter..I don't think we can allow the coming of the first imam from down the street, he might be carrying a nuke into NY. You don't allow children to play with guns or fire, one doesn't allow islamists to play with it right and there would be no need for any boots on the ground as there would BE no ground, just glass.

Obama seem Ok with allowing children to play with fire. It could be that, being a child himself, he doesn't recognize the danger. Or, more likely, judging by his behavior, he simply hates Israel.

Gee, that's exactly what was said about the Soviet Union getting the Bomb, China getting the Bomb Pakistan, etc. etc.

Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren, briefed Christian supporters of the Jewish state this morning. He told a hushed audience crowded into his Embassy’s Jerusalem Auditorium of a recent visit by U.S. intelligence specialists. They had asked Dr. Oren the historian to compare Israel’s situation today with other critical periods in the nation’s past. Without hesitation, he answered: In the best case scenario, it’s May, 1967. In the worst case, it’s May, 1948.
May Day! May Day! That’s the international distress signal. In...
