No John we've been exporting jobs since the 70's when we started moving manufacturing plants to Mexico. For everyjob we ship overseas the person here usually ends up with a lower paying job. Now we're outsourcing Legal Work to India. So as we ship better jobs overseas in order to hire people at slave to much lower wages than we would pay to people here the Americans that lost their jobs are stuck looking for lower paying jobs in different fields. We have seen salaries remain stagnant for 10 years and very little growth of median income for the last 30 years BUT THE FIXED COSTS OF LIVING KEEP GOING UP. Food Energy Healthcare, Shelter and Education keep going up SO THE AVERAGE AMERICAN HAS LESS TO SPEND. Since 70% of our economy...

Brad, you are quite correct. Stossel is really not anywhere near as bright as he thinks he is. He says the way to increase private sector jobs is to put millions of government workers and suppliers out of business or out of work. So, after you do all that and you end up with a few more million out of work, the rest of us are still in the same boat Stossel. You and your buddies opened up our nation to full globalization and there is nothing we make or do that can compete with third world labor and conditions. Sorry but the answer is not with the deficit, its with the idiotic giveaways to international corporations that the conservatives have been serving up for decades.
