Charles, If the "golden goose" of capitalism is killed off, say good-bye to the golden eggs. It's pretty clear to me that the president and his wife missed Econ 101 at their ivy league universities, or is that necessarily true? Perhaps they know more Economics than they let on - but are keeping class envy at a white-heat pitch until the great one is re-elected. This will give the green light to to this couple and their rapacious friends for 4 more years of looting.

The Dow closed down Friday for the 12th time in 13 sessions, the first time that's happened since October 8, 1974. Obviously, it's a red flag and a negative sign. I think it's more an indictment of lack of leadership and its potential impact on the economy than current economic circumstances. The dollar continues to surge against the inept Euro, and the more the dollar moves up, the more money leaps out of stocks and other assets into US treasuries...
