Michael - your post fails completely. The right in Israel has been mugged by reality. 20 years after Oslo, Israelis, especially younger Israelis, hove come to understand that the only peace agreement Arabs will accept is one in which Israel is so weakened and chopped up that it will be easy to destroy. Also, those settlements are not, ini fact, illegal, according to the UN. Territory acquired in a defensive war acrues to the victim of the aggression. The path to peace, as demonstrated by Israel for decades, is for the Arabs to accept a Jewish State in Israel. This conflict was never about settlements, borders or a "Palestinian" state. It always was, and always will be, about the survival or destruction of the one Jewish state.

As President Obama prepares for his first trip to Israel, I hope when he gets there he sees what I saw.

Several weeks ago I returned from my first trip to Israel. I went with a delegation headed by Governor Mike Huckabee, who visits Israel at least once every year.

What did I see?

I saw kids, no more than 18 years old, walking down the street, waiting at bus stops, wearing Army green khakis, and carrying machine guns on their backs. One young girl was as black skinned as me.
