Carlos7: Just a few points. Faithful Jews of today do indeed observe as many of the commandments in the Torah (there are 613, plus many rabbinic laws laid out in the Talmud) as is possible. The Jews have not had an authoritative religious court (San Hedrin) since the Second Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed. If the Temple is restored (and some say, even prior to that if consensus on the composition of the court can be reached), the San Hedrin would be re-established, and the laws which it must carry out would be once again observed. There are groups working to re-establish the San Hedrin in Israel, but it is a complicated and difficult issue. It is also important to note that the burden of proof in capital cases in Jewish Law are extremely high, to the point that the Talmud refers to a court that hanged more than one person in 70 years a "hanging court." Furthermore, the Jews in the Diaspora do not insist Christians do anything. In Israel, Jews insist Christians follow Israeli civil law only. Likewise, Jews, who reject the New Testament, are not bound by the revisions to Torah Law therein.

There has long been a debate within Orthodox Jewry of the permissability of entrance to the Temple Mount by Jews. Here is a good reference piece: http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Article.aspx/15980#!
OMG, The Protocols of the Elders of Zion was a forgery, Herr Sheeple. Give it a rest. The enemy is Islam, and the Left. Some of them are of Jewish birth, but most are not.
Waters was all smiles when she let loose about the "list" that the Democrats and Obama were compiling.
The same forces aligned behind BHO that brought him out of relative obscurity to win the election in 2008 are aligned behind Warren, including the Soros financial backing. She's got the nod from Jarret. And, after all, isn't it time we had a president who claims she is 1/64th Native American? Isn't it just her turn? Trust me, President Warren will be sworn in, probably on a copy of "Silent Spring", in January of 2017. It's a done deal. Unless, of course, you think Jeb Bush can beat her (HA!).
Nothing like a preview of what our next POTUS will be like, and how the MSM will cover her presidency.

Israel does not have a Bill of Rights, and hence, no Second Amendment. However, Israelis are allowed to own and cary (openly) firearms. Yes, there are strict limits on the number of firearms one may own, and there are serious qulification exams and re-qualification requirements, but many Israelis (and I know some of them) do indeed cary firearms. What Israel does need is a less leftist judiciary so that armed citizens are less scared of the legal battles that follow self-defense shootings than they are of the reason for acting in self-defense in the first place.

What, in Caroline's piece, implies that America has a "dog in this fight", Paolo3? And your attempt at moral equivalence between Israelis who seek to live in peace in their ancestral homeland, and the bloodthirsty butchers who yearn for Holocaust 2.0 is a miserable failure.

The 2-State Solution Is Dead

And the PLO was created in - wait for it - 1964. That's three years BEFORE Israel liberated Judea, Samaria and Gaza. So, what was the PLO created to do? Answer: Destroy Israel (yes, pre-1967 Israel) with a war of attrition and terror, since the Egyptian sponsors of the PLO had failed to do it militarily. Bottom line: Either you agree that the Jewish people has national rights in their ancestral homeland or you don't. If you agree, then that homeland includes Judea, Samaria, and to some extent, Gaza. If you disagree, there's nothing to talk about. Either way, David1454, there's nothing to talk about. Israel needs to make sure the Arabs understand that reality. If they would do that, there would be peace. No 23rd Muslism-Arab state, but real, durable, peace.
Of course the GOP will lose in 2016, but not to Hillary. Write this down now: Elizabeth Warren will be the next POTUS. It's already a done deal. Watch it happen, exactly the way it happened for BHO in 2008.
