I don't recall seeing any president's grades at any educational level. Supposedly George W. Bush was a "C' student, but we don't have those records. I'm sure Barack Obama was an above average student and high IQ to boot. Those who went to Harvard Law with him attest to his acumen. But who really cares at this point? He is elected to his second term and can't run again so the arguments are pointless, just like his birth certificate and all of the other dumb arguments that get in the way of discussions about foreign policy and the economy.
Mitt the Twit would have been a disaster as president. Why do you think he couldn't release his tax returns? They would have disclosed all of the ways he hid money offshore and ripped off corporations under his control. He was one of the major architects of "vulture capitalism" and moving American jobs overseas.
Most Iraqi's think they were better off under Saddam than the current group. They also had no terrorists in their midst when Saddam was in power. Also the electric power worked and they had no looting of their museums. And of course I bet the 100,000 innocent Iraqi's who died would beg to differ about being better off or the 5,000 dead American's.
Sorry to raise your ire, but I did serve in the military and knew first hand many who served in Vietnam and they all thought it was a total waste. Many of them became anti-war protestors. If you read the Pentagon Papers you would know that the Vietnam war was a total fabrication and that our government lied to us, going back to Truman about Vietnam. Why do you think Nixon was so angry about the publication of those documents? Even McNamara realized the war was a joke as did the generals. Nixon even bombed an innocent country and tried to hide it from us.
Not sure what your point is but right now most American's don't know that many people who are in the military. I know a few. But when we had the draft I knew dozens of people who served on active duty including myself.
Saddam dumped all of that stuff. When he was captured one of his comments was he thought Bush was kidding since Saddam knew that the CIA knew that there were no more WMD's. Saddam was shocked that the U.S. invaded anyway. As the British said "Bush created facts out of thin air to support what he wanted to do (paraphrasing)."
Supporting the troops is much more than putting a bumper sticker on your SUV. I think that was the point of Michael Moore's message.
I presume you are talking about Neville Chamberlain. England lost hundreds of thousands in the "Great War" and everyone in England knew personally someone who died in the war, so there was tremendous pressure not to go to war yet again when the memories of a war less than two decades ago were still fresh in everyone's memory. Also Chamberlain knew that England was not prepared to go to war against Germany and he was doing everything possible to buy time. Michael Moore is correct that "supporting the troops" has a hollow ring to it when we know that most American's will never be called to sacrifice anything when we go to war. We went blindly into Vietnam and Iraq two of the dumbest American wars ever and a needless sacrifice of Americans.
I would bet she is a hell of lot smarter than you.
