This is one area where I agree with the Obama Administration, Not for the same reasons, but for the same outcome. I read the original documents that revolved around the formation of Israel as the homeland for Jews before the Obama Administration removed them from the website. The original agreement was for NO ONE to claim Jerusalem, since so many consider it to be sacred. In the original Israel Declaration of Independence it is written that NO ONE will ever claim Jerusalem, and it WILL remain a city belonging only to the world, sadly, it went the way of all the original regulations. Still, while we can accept them stealing Palestinian land, we should NOT support them taking control of the only multi-religious city in the world.

The muslims in Jerusalem have far more freedom to operate than the muslims gave the Jews during their tenure.
I fail to see WHY Jerusalem should be an International city. I sure would not trust the UN to run it fairly.

For decades, support for Israel has been one of the few issues that consistently brought Democrats and Republicans together.  That seems to be coming to an end with an increasingly ambivalent – even hostile – Obama Administration in Washington and now a significantly weakened Democrat Party Platform.
