Just because a document contains citations DOES NOT mean it reflects the thought of the work cited. As far as we know, the "conceptual framework" could have cited them in refutation - we're never told HOW the department includes the "offending snipets" of progressive writers. Satan "cited" Scripture in his Temptation of Christ - does that mean the devil supports the Gospel?

As a Wheaton Undergrad, I am a little surprised by what I'm reading here. Frankly, it has failed quite profoundly to grasp what's actually going on. To be fair, there has been a move to embrace "Social Justice", and the inclusion of some more "leftist" thinkers and theologians into the reading and curriculum. But what has not been done is to explain the way in which these have been incorporated.
