PETA: Hunting Magazines Are Worse Than Porn, You Know

Yum, turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries, & pumpkin pie. Oh yeah, and I shot a beautiful 6 pt buck (3x3) 2 weeks ago. Got 114 pounds of meat for the winter. Can anyone recommend some good hunting mags? I already get American Hunter. Anyone have a good recipe for roast squirrel or rabbit? By the way, for you libs, turkeys are known to be the dumbest animal on this earth & are raised for one be eaten. Those PETA fools are so far out of touch with reality they are on a different planet.

here's one that's good for squirrel or bunny....

2 young rabbits (2 1/2 – 3 pounds)
2 large eggs
3 cups milk
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup veg. oil

Thoroughly wash the dressed rabbits in cold water.
Cut rabbits into serving size pieces.
In a large bowl beat the eggs and milk together.
Stir in the flour, salt, onion powder and pepper.
Heat skillet and add the oil.
Dip rabbit in batter and fry until rabbits are fried to a golden brown.
Reduce heat, cover and continue cooking the fried rabbits until the rabbit pieces are tender.
Turn occasionally.
Transfer fried rabbits to a plate when tender.
Add remaining flour to pan.
Turn heat up to medium.

I like to save the blood and the liver when I clean the rabbits. I quarter them, sprinkle with a little salt and black pepper then fry them in pork fat until crisp. I sauté finely minced onions and garlic in butter with a little salt then add the blood after I have ground u the liver in it. I simmer briefly, add a little red wine then stir in a little flower mixed in butter and heat until thickened. I like to pour it on to the rabbit and eat immediately with roasted potatoes and carrots.

Jay: Yes, and quite right too. Thank you for correcting my spelling. I’m sorry to say that it is only one of the mistakes in spelling and punctuation. I’d ask you for what you think of the recipe, but I’ve noticed that while you are quite adept at expressing your own opinion, you never evaluate an argument and give it and truly critical consideration.

PETA has been causing trouble for years, but in recent days we've seen them target children by comparing turkeys to the family dog, we've seen them beg President Obama to not pardon the turkey at the White House and now, they're trying to make the argument that hunting magazines are worse than porn.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is encouraging national retailer Hudson News to put hunting magazines where children can’t see them -- because, “Like other forms of casual or thrill violence, hunting spawns a dangerous desensitization to the suffering of others.”
