We all know the drill. They claim that we can live like this is only the rich paid their fair share. We know it doesn't work but in order to get something the weak knee Republicans will vote for some increase in the tax rate. It won't work, Then the liberals will claim it is because all the old folks with fat 401s that aren't paying their fair share. NEVER will spending be talked about because to a liberal and the LSM is what is we are doing now is right because we are pushing it and we need more of it....

We need to change our "income tax system" because the one we now have isn't working. But then, it never did, and only seems "fair" to those looking to game the system. As long as Politicians can play around with "deductions" they will use them as a re-election tool, so they should simply be eliminated. Depend on family size to set the taxable level on earned income, and the rate on "unearned income" should be flat, with no reference to family size.

Our current IRS tax code started out AS a flat tax, and only on the "rich".
100 years, and 72,000 pages later, we have what we have.

Better idea is the Fair Tax.

We are still borrowing more than $1 trillion a year. Barack Obama has added more than $5 trillion to the national debt in just his first term alone. Such massive borrowing is unsustainable. Someone somehow at some time has to pay it back.

Obama would agree. He once alleged that George W. Bush's much smaller deficits were "irresponsible" and "unpatriotic." Obama himself vowed to cut the budget deficit in half by the end his first term. Instead, Obama's annual deficits have never gone below $1 trillion.

Three ways to establish a long-term trajectory toward a balanced budget were under...
