I think most of the "people" want term limits. Our "leaders" are supposed to represent the people but it is the leaders who make the Rules. Just how are the people going to get what they want? I just don't see the rulers voting themselves out of a job. I don't see term limits happening. But I think we the people really need them because professional politicians are a lot of what's wrong with Washington/OUR country.

"Here’s an idea: How about if we wait for abuse to occur before we lament it?" Get a clue, abuses have already happened on a large scale.

Are you kidding? Seventeen trillion in debt. Thousands of troops killed and wounded. Nothing to show for Iraq and Afghanistan except more hatred of America. The "rebels" in Syria are the Muslim Brotherhood. When these countries get democracy they elect terrorists. We should have left Saddam alone.

“free enough” – at least for now, anyway - to speak out, to allow our voices to be heard, and to freely exchange ideas about our country and its government - - even if those ideas are contrary to the edicts of a dead-certain Command-In-Chief. Right. For now! But there seems to be a movement withing our government to silence the people.
