Atheist Says Government Gives "Superior Benefits" Over Charity

I think it is a religious issue when you run the line of reasoning. If an atheist, one has to believe that giving something I have to others when I can use it to further myself is foolish. Darwinism teaches us that the strong survive, not the compassionate. Charity to the Atheist is an odd byproduct of tribal man, to be dispensed with as soon as possible. Religions in general, and Christianity and Judaism in particular stand in stark contrast to this notion. We are told to be generous and giving because it pleases God. If you are an atheist, there is simply no grounds for being charitable, and in fact you may be harming the human race as a whole by allowing the weak to continue to survive and propagate.
