I'm disappointed in Cheney if he really thinks this, as the clear mistake was ever letting John McCain get the nomination - he was destined to be the failure that he was. Living here in AZ, we've been trying to get a different candidate into that Senate seat of his for years, but he's part of the party elite and his people have worked hard to prevent any opponent here in AZ from getting traction. I just can't wait till he is out of office. His daughter actually represents the views of the real McCain; and she's a vile, loud-mouthed liberal masquerading as a Republican.

Apparently, former Vice President Dick Cheney thinks it was “a mistake” for John McCain to have chosen former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate in 2008:
