california is the canary in the mine, and california is drowning in debt that gov. brown now has to find a way out of. we need a republican governor in california and a republican in the white house to clean house and stop us from going down the drain. what brown refuses to do is to close some government department, clean up the pension system and reduce gov't workers, and immediately reduce by 10% every department's budget. he will not do it, he will raise taxes and more of the rich will flee to other states.

Good point. I once was a Dem--then I grew up--then I became a GOP, then I grew up more. Today, I am a conservative. I vote for whoever offers the most to support the Constitution and to keep folks working.

Appearing on ABC's "This Week," former Gov. Eliot Spitzer (why do they give him a forum?) offered the Democratic Party's defense of the Obama economy. The Republicans, Spitzer sputtered "want to go back to medieval medicine, the bloodletting, leeches. They want to go back to the very crazy economics that brought us over the cliff and created a cataclysm."
