Jeff, being against gay marriage and the other things that you list are basically BIG GOVERNMENT SOCIAL AGENDA. That is not what I call socially conservative. Liberals believe that people have a right to a job, housing, health care, and will spend a lot of money to try to secure these things. Libertarians believe that the government should only do for people what the people cannot do for themselves and that it is not the job of the government to dictate morals. Of course the real sad thing is that there are no real conservatives in Washington DC. Those people believe that a budget cut is just a cut in the rate of growth. We need across the board cuts now.
