How is the LP an offshoot of the liberal wing of the democrat party? How is promoting the "Fair Tax" a democrat plan? How is limiting the intervention of the government in personal lives part of the liberal plan? How is defending the Constitution and a vocal defender of all of the Bill of Rights a liberal thing? I think you are calling Libertarians "liberal" because we don't want the GOVERNMENT to decide personal issues like abortion or religion.
