Much of what you say is so, but if the Church is relevant only in humanitarian endeavors, it is not relevant at all. There are many organizations that cover those bases. The Church must go back to what The Lord commanded in Matthew 28:18-20. The saving of lost souls is the work of the Church. Teaching the converts the Christian way of life, and discipling the new believers. This does not mean that Christians ignore the culture, but that is not its main responsibility. The culture will never change if believers live like unconverted people. Christians are to be light in a dark world.
