My take on Mr. Schlichter's thoughtful editorial is different than yours. I think he's not talking about "better PR" moving the mindless Obama Voters or the biased, bigoted media, but rather that "better PR" will energize the conservative base. And while Obama has SOME power, he does not have all the power, nor can he "hold it for the Democrats". Remember, even with Obama and the MSM doing all they could on behalf of the Democrats, those Democrats once again LOST the House.

Raising the tax on gasoline has the effect of "hitting the poor the hardest" however, since it raises the cost of their food. Which helps explain why Pelosi and the Democrats generally support the idea.

Half-black Bo added $5 TRILLION in debt in less than 4 years. Quite an accomplishment! Oh, and he also managed to totally screw up in the area of foreign policy also. He managed to get the Muslims rioting, looting, and burning our embassies, and even got them to kill some of our embassy personnel, plus he alienated one of our best allies - Israel - along the way. Quite an accomplishment indeed! And once again, in less than 4 years! You go, Bo! In fact, you go out to the curb, come November.

What an excellent parallel Hugh Hewitt has drawn, for it points out how foolish our "news" media increasingly appears. Mr. Hewitt is correct.
