We get a Progressive regardless of who wins. That was the plan, the plan worked. We never thought that 'conservatives' would cheerfully vote for a Progressive, but we seem to have been more successful than we could have hoped. Great debate last night, and judging by the comments here, mission accomplished.

The problem is that even though Medicare IS an unconstitutional power grab, now that we have had it in place for 50 years you can't just end it and cut people off who depend on it and haven't taken the time to plan for their own future medical needs while they were still young. It needs to be reformed and people need to be slowly weaned off of it before you can get rid of it.
