The Washington Times' lead editorial lays out the shameful refusal of the Justice Department to enforce Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act -- the part that requires states to remove ineligible voters from their rolls.
Perhaps "Justice" should spend more time enforcing the statutes it's tasked with overseeing than embarking on new efforts -- for which it has no statutory authority -- to help felons reaquire voting privileges. That is, unless it's committed only to initiatives intended to confer political benefits on one party over another . . . .
