Nope...never happened. They should have allowed all of the so-called "to big to fail" businesses fail. If you are a bad business when things are going south and the government bails you out. You will still be a bad buisness owned by the government with taxpayer dollars. Most of those businesses wouldn't have failed and others would have been sucked up in pieces by the smaller guys. Robert Reich was President Clinton's Labor Secretary and is currently a professor of public policy at U Cal, Berkeley.

Regarding his statement: Unfortunately, the weight of his comment will probably be lost due to the lack of knowledge about FDR's "New Deal." Furthermore, if you did attend public school and remember anything about the WPA (Works Progress Administration), I'd assume it would've been taught as FDR's great achievement.
