Your quotes from the AP are helpful in our discussion of GM. I still maintain that Obama/Gov't did not directly fire or assume Wagoner's authority, however. GM on its own screwed up; period. Would you rather that GM and the big banks went under and Obama did not provide interim, emergency financing?

Yup I would. Question to ask is: if my company were about to go under, would the government bail me out? Nope! This company is managed by private citizens and not the government. Their option was to declare bankruptsy instead of taking taxpayer money. Oh, wait...they did declare bankruptsy AFTER taking taxpayer money.
