If you are someone who is against public health care, I would suggest that it would be in your financial interests to mandate only healthy foods for food stamps. Otherwise you will be paying even more in the years to come.

Yes she has they took lunches away from kids that brought them from home so they could force the child to eat what Madame in chief wanted to force the child to eat.

They don't have to dictate. They can simply stay out of the way.

Examples of that are the war on the Organic Food industry as waged by (from behind the scenes) the Food Czar Michael Taylor. He wants you to eat Monsanto GMO foods instead. He also tells you that rBST is safe...

Yet places like Europe reject that because they realize it's a lie (on both counts).

There lies a difference between the Left and the Right; The former want to own your rights and give them out as they see 'fit'. While the other side wants to simply protect your Rights and let you decide.

Obama hired Michael Taylor from Monsanto. Obama doesn't care about healthy food. Sorry that you believe him.

Perhaps. But a government that dictates what people have to eat or starve to death sounds pretty communist to me. Everyon on TH has their panties in a wad because Obama pushes healthy food. But she has never, never even suggested a law that would force people to eat what they don't like.

You didn't answer the question.

Do you or don't you? If we're paying for people to eat, should they have the free will make bad choices?

For the record (again), The FDA does more to damage the health of the nation

Of course, if you are conservative then you would be mandating healthy food per Michelle Obama's recommendations, which would make you a communist.

As part of her big-brother-knows-best "Let's Move!" campaign to combat childhood obesity, Michelle Obama has been arguing that certain inner-city urban neighborhoods and rural communities are "food deserts," where it's difficult for residents to find access to fresh, healthy, and nutritious food. Mrs. Obama's solution is for the federal government to funnel public money (or, as her esteemed husband might faultily term it, "make an investment") into bringing healthy food retailers into these neighborhoods. But, as with many centrally-planned nanny-state endeavors, the First Lady's taxpayer-funded project fails to attack the real core of the problem, ignores secondary effects,...
