Once again, you have it slightly wrong. We, individually, have an inherent to defend our selves with whatever is handy - including firearms. The 2d Amendment recognizes this inherent right and specifically states that that right shall not be infringed (restricted, modified, eroded, etc) by our government.

You misunderstood me. I said that I did not believe people "needed" guns. I did not say that I believed people should not be allowed to have guns. The US Constitution is the highest law in the nation and it provides you have the RIGHT to own a gun. If the US Congress was doing its job, Obama would be impeached for his war on the Constitution.
