Way back in the 60's I entered college as a journalism major. After two years I switched my major to English, realizing as a professional journalist I would rarely encounter an independent or conservative reporter. And, hell, this was in Texas. If Mitt gets elected expect him to be hounded all the time by the mainstream media just as they hounded Bush for 8 years and made him look like a moron and a monster, though to be sure, Bush was hardly a great communicator. Be glad these days we have at least conservative and independent outlets like Fox news

it's well past time for the military to absentee-vote by Internet. It CAN be done securely.

I don't know why there isn't a nationwide system of electronic voting over the Internet, using public and private keys for security, and a return receipt email confirming the vote and showing how you voted. It could print out the ballot at the voting precincts for a hard copy and verification by 3rd parties, optically read,of course. Most people would not need to stand in line, they could vote from home, any library,Starbucks, etc.
you'd still have to register in person,in advance, and have the public key sent to you after you've been verified as legitimate.

Bird....I do believe that Gov. Romney is cast from a different mold than Pres. Bush, and will handle these vipers....He is a tough seasoned businessman from the midwest....and will be prepared. Not that Mitt is a monster, I just think Pres. Bush was not tough enough and wanted to please too many people. Romney will do what needs to be done for America and not give a hoot for the vultures. I really think so .Texas Proud! Let's be positive...and supportive.

Fox gets more credit than they deserve. I watch it all day long and see tons of lies and distortions from many of their hosts and looney-leftist 'contributors'.

("all day long" is true except for the 5PMET slot. I wouldn't watch Beckel if I were paid to do so.)

With many of the polls and much of the momentum trending for Mitt Romney, much of the mainstream media is in full-panic mode as they work overtime to tilt the "news" in favor of Barack Obama.

For a recent example of such bias, one need only look at the October 25th edition of USA Today. On their front page was the headline: "Economists see less pain in 2013."

Even while pushing such an Obama-friendly headline, their own facts belie the trumped-up prediction. Of the 48 "economists" surveyed, 83 percent said the economy will actually stay the same or get worse. A...
