Kenneth, I don't think that everyone knows it yet. It certainly hasn't hit the MSM and trying to inform leftists about it tends to get either a "I don't believe it" response or a dumb blank stare. They're so thrilled that those they envy will get hit, they haven't had the brains to even look into the facts and how those facts will affect them. They will deserve what they get and at some point, only when they have through enough financial pain, they will realize they have been had. They are greedy, envious, selfish hypocrites and while their natures won't change, their votes will at some point.

There's no way you can argue that it's up to Republicans to get us out of this mess. They didn't create it, and they don't have the means to un-create it.

yeah, clearly that's the Dem line. But it's nonsense.
Republicans have the high ground. They won't get a fair hearing in the media, and the Dems have the presidency and the senate. Let the chips fall.
When people see the sequestration bill that Obama signed, and they feel the effects fo the Obama tax increases, both income and payroll taxes, he'll have some 'splainin' to do.

DOnt' be stupid. Everyone who gives a rip about the fiscal cliff knows what it is. Pretending that people do not grasp the import is just living in teh conservative bubble. Obama wants to retain teh tax cuts for 98% of all Americans. Boehner refuses to give them a break unless the wealthiest get to keep thier sweet deal. One of them is working for AMerica, and it isn't Boehner.
It is clear by now that President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner are not going to work out a full blown deal on taxes, spending and entitlements by the end of this month.

The task before them and Congress is so fraught with fiendishly complicated and politically-charged issues that the idea that a couple of people behind closed doors can come up with a broadly acceptable solution is laughable.

In fact, I'm going to go out on a cliff on this one (no pun intended) and say that there will be no final disposition of these thorny issues,...
