A_Freeman, you seem to be somewhat intelligent, so I find it hard to believe that you truly do not understand the very fundamental reason that we have for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The whole point of the Constitution is to Enumerate the Powers of the Federal Government, and to guarantee some of the specific Rights of the people. The Bill of Rights were a small list of guaranteed rights of the PEOPLE. These rights are not to be infringed upon by ANY government. A few enumerated powers were reserved for the Federal government, binding the several states together in a Union.
