Nope. Rachel Carson thought she was doing the right thing. Like most libs, though, she didn't follow through on the consequences of her actions. If Rachael Carson were confronted with the consequences of her actions, and still defended her actions, then yeah, Burn in Hell.

Pray tell, Ken. What does your expertise tell us about the availability of that oil today? Do you know, or are you just pretending to know?

Algore is one of the silliest people ever to grace the Earth. When South Park makes you look like a fool, then you've really accomplished something. Of course, AlGore is rich. His lies have worked for him.

Ann, you make so much sense in columns like this, but then you support Rinos like Christie. I don't get it. How about you write a column or two that clearly define your principles? Then we can decide whether or not you're someone worth supporting. Geez, you're nice to Bill Maher because he gave you a start! If you can't go against that guy, then you have no creditability.
Okay, if MM is short on facts, how about you support your statements with facts? In particular, what facts do you have to back up the following? "It is absolutely not true that there are no provisions in place to protect from unauthorized access to medical data." Please list those provisions.

I went through public school and college and an academic life beyond that, and EVENTUALLY came out libertarian/conservative. It's a major struggle when all the cards are stacked against you.

Yep. I've been involved in my kids' school experiences from Day 1. You can't wait until they come home from college to begin discussing things with them.

"The sad part is when the programmed college student works that same programming on parents who believe they will lose their child's love and respect if they try to undo the Progressive detritus which has filled their kid's empty head." That, of course, is the fault of the parents. If you haven't established trust and respect by the time the students are in college, it's not going to happen in a brief time period. I had no respect for my father, so I wasn't about to listen to anything he said once I was "free." My kids DO respect me, and we're able to discuss politics openly and honestly. Any open and honest discussion of politics favors the conservative point of view.

The sad thing about the politics of colleges is that, without the liberal indoctrination, they are great places of learning. I graduated from Occidental College--some of the best years of my life, but then PC wasn't quite so ingrained back then. I owe the school a lot, but given their current politics, I'll be damned if I'll donate to them.
I think, John, that you're giving Ezra Klein too much credit. You assume he's bright enough to know he's lying and covering up for the prez. That might be true, but it could also be that he's so blinded by ideology that he cannot fathom his side doing anything wrong. Contrast Klein's behavior with that of Jay Carney. Jay clearly knows he's lying, but figures it's his job. Klein doesn't give that impression. He'a s true believer.
