Below are my suggesstions for making progress on this multi faceted problem: First, a lot of illegals are already here; many are hard workers and decent people. A program likened to the recent Census could be easily (probably not cheaply) inaugaurated to identify the skills, talents and contributions these illegals can make to each specific community. A. if they use drugs, engage in stealing, drive while drunk or won't work - deport them. Second. secure the border. No more native born Mexicans, etc. get to walk into America; until we have assessed what we have here (in the way of hard working and law abiding people) and what skill, trades or manual...

IF some idealists broaches the concept that 'assimilation' is in my best interest; and IF I decided to proactively join the club - THEN, by all means I want to know what I am embracing.
